The Blaine County Womens Federation has received a certificate of recognition our there participation in the "Caring for American Project" sponsored by the National Federation of Republican Women.

WHO ARE THE REPUBLICAN WOMEN?

The Blaine County group of the Idaho Federation of Republican Women was organized over two years ago by State President Melinda Smyser of Parma, under the directions of Diana Richman, 2nd District Director of Sugar City. During the first year, this group has participated in sponsoring such speakers as Tom Luna, Idaho Head of Education and Sheriff Walt Femling who encouraged his audience to become more involved in the fight against drug and alcohol abuse among young people in our county. His message, "METH-Not even once!," was taken to heart and we put ourselces on call for the efforts of the Community Drug Coalition.

We raised funds and contributed to the Idaho Meth Project, which is a large scale, statewide prevention program aimed at reducing first time Meth use through public service messaging.

We have assisted the Blaine County Republicans in hosting dinners for our Lincoln Days celebration held in February. We have donated books to the Ketchum Library and Hailey Library.

September 17th is Constitution Day and to help commemorate this day, we give each graduating senior in Blaine County a pocket size copy of our nation's constitution
